The Early Years 1990 - 2000

Th Sky Series is the result of an old habit of observing the sky over the city and the sky in the history of painting. Those are rather big canvases worked with long, fluid strokes of transparent, liquid colors.

No profiles, no shapes and no distance appears, except for some occasional, blurred horizons.

Even though, some suggest a big zoom over a small part of the visible sky. Each one seem to convey a feeling of openness and perhaps of joy or melancholy. They are rather abstract but also ever shifting images to paint, perhaps never finished, as the sky light itself.
